11/01/13 – “Bones” – Redbone Hound Mix at NE GA Animal Shelter

Bones“Bones” is a beautiful Redbone mix that shelter staff believes also  has some Bloodhound in there.  Whatever the mix, he is a true hound, right down to his signature bay.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies found “Bones” wandering, tired and emaciated near Ed Murdock Superstore on SR17 about two weeks ago.  He has no micro chip and was not wearing a collar. It’s believed he got lost running deer, but according to shelter director Sherri Lockhart, no one has come looking for him.   Who knows how far and long he may have been running.

Now this beautiful hunting dog is up for adoption.

Bones is a young adult male, already neutered, and full of energy.  He would make someone not only a wonderful family pet, but a perfect hunting dog.  He’s smart, loving and loyal and eager to find his new forever home.

Please stop by the shelter and meet Bones.   The shelter also has a number of litters of puppies as well as some beautiful small to medium sized dogs that need good homes.

And if you’re looking for a kitten, they have some gorgeous kittens that will be available for adoption soon.

The Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter is located on Bear Creek Rd, in Lavonia.  Contact them at 706-356-5363 or email: [email protected].  Or visit their Facebook page.
