07/15/13 – “Toby” – Lab Mix Puppy at Hart County Humane

Toby-1It was Memorial Day weekend when a couple of young humane society volunteers found a litter of puppies alongside a country road. The shelter was closed and we just couldn’t tell the compassionate youngsters to leave the pups where they were. With nowhere else to go, we took the puppies with the understanding they would go to the shelter Tuesday morning.
Sounds like a decent plan but it wasn’t, by Monday morning it was apparent to all that the tiniest puppy was very sick. With emergency diagnoses of parvo virus and treatment from Three Trees Veterinary Services and Hartwell Animal Hospital, little Toby’s life was saved. Our healthy puppy is now an approximately 12 week old happy boy full of life and plenty of love to share.
Toby is a black lab mix, he will not be a small dog but he will be a wonderful addition to his chosen family. The adoption fee for this very deserving puppy covers his neutering, micro chipping, age appropriate vaccinations, parasite treatment and preventative. If you would like to meet Toby or want more information please call 706-436-0965 or email [email protected].
