04/01/13 – “Bella” Blue-eyed Bassett/Retriever Mix at Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter

You don’t see too many Basset mixes with blue eyes, but Bella is one and she’s a cutie.  Bella is about a year old and took up at someone’s house in Franklin County with her litter of puppies.

All of the puppies have been adopted and now it’s mom’s turn.  Bella is basically a puppy herself.  At a year old, she still loves to play and would make a wonderful family dog.  She’s big enough to handle a herd of children, but short enough to make a great house dog.

Bella would be perfect for any family or anyone just looking for a wonderful all around dog.

She loves all people and children and gets along great with other dogs and cats.

Please consider stopping by the shelter to meet Bella. I’m sure she will win your heart.

Bella’s adoption fee is $55 and includes her spay and a rabies vaccine.

The Northest Georgia Animal Shelter is an open admission, non-profit Shelter, supported financially by private donations and funds from eight city and county jurisdictions.  We strive to get all of our animals adopted, and often work with rescue groups and other local shelters to achieve this. Our maximum capacity is 60 animals. Currently our adoption rate is 30% and we are working hard every day to increase it. Our goal of course, is an adoption rate of 100%.

Take I-85 north to the Lavonia exit 173 at Hwy. 17, go right, travel approximately 1.5 miles through town, turn right at the Northeast Georgia Bank on to Bear Creek Road. The Shelter is approximately 1 mile on the right. The hours of operation are from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday through Saturday.
