03/11/13 – “Patches” – Sweet Adult Housecat at Hart County Humane Society

My name is Patches, I am an eight year old female declawed cat. I had a person who loved me very much and a great big house to call home, but that’s all a past life for me now. You see my mistress is now in an assisted living home and can no longer take care of me.
This nice group felt sorry for my owner and myself and took me in. Thinking someone else would feel sympathy for me they put me in a cage at PetSmart, in hope of finding me a new family. How do you think I would repay their kindness?
I’m embarrassed but I was not a nice kitty, for two weeks I hissed, spit and threaten to bite. Folks were afraid of this crazy old cat and it bought my rescuer to tears. I am home with her now, recovering from the nightmare of that darn cage. I can tell you now it was a horrible experience!
Now that I am relaxed with a bed to get up on I am able to show my true sweet personality. If you have a loving heart and room in a quiet home, I will be a devoted companion. Please call 706-436-0965 or email [email protected], don’t go to Pet Smart, I’m not there.
