03/04/13 – “Princess” – Collie at Hart County Humane

Hi, my name is Princess.  I am an 8 year old Collie. My former life included a loving owner and a home on a big ranch in Montana.

My family moved to Georgia with a promise of a job and a happy future, but life can be cruel sometimes. We arrived with a truck and a camper which were our home until the job didn’t work out and my owner had to move into government housing.

When the animal control officer arrived to pick me up, he had to crawl under the camper to pull me out, I was so afraid.

My fur was so matted my skin hurt, the fleas and ticks left sores on my body. The officer thought I would try to bite but I didn’t. He felt I deserve a chance at a new family.

The Hart County Humane Society is a volunteer rescue organization. We receive no funding from any government agencies or other groups. We are a 501C3 non-profit organization.
