01/31/14 – “Douglas” – Chihuahua Mix at Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter

douglasLittle Douglas has had a rough life so he’s a little nervous.  Found as a stray in Franklin County, Douglas needs a loving, quiet home, where he can feel safe.  He hasn’t felt safe in a very long time.

Douglas is about 1-2 years old and weighs about 12lbs.   He’s a bit shy of strangers at first, but once he gets to know you, he’s a baby who just wants to be held and in your lap.

Please consider stopping by the shelter on Bear Creek Road in Lavonia and meeting Douglas if you are looking for a small house dog to add to your family.

Douglas would prefer a home with no children or older children. He would make a perfect companion for a retired couple or single person with no children.

He’s good with other dogs, however and appears to ignore cats.

Douglas’ adoption fee of $55 covers his neuter and a rabies vaccine.
