Volunteers Needed for Night of Hope Christmas Party for Children

LoveHimLoveThem Ministry continues its holiday events for those in need by doing something special for children whose parent or parents are incarcerated.

It’s called the Night of Hope and it takes place Thursday, December 21 on the Currahee Campus of North Georgia Technical College.

Founder Linda Gunter says the annual event is close to her heart and started after her best friend was murdered by her husband and Linda adopted her children.

Gunter said the children and their caregivers are treated to a night of Christmas fun, including games, food, and gifts but it also helps the inmate parent connect with their child or children.

Gunter says they need volunteers to help set up for the Night of Hope Christmas event as well as help on the night of the event.

And if you can’t volunteer in that way, she says there are other opportunities to help make a child’s Christmas happy by picking an angel off their Angel Tree.

Another part of the Night of Hope addresses the adult caregivers Gunter said and what they need.

Again, the Night of Hope for children of incarcerated parents takes place Thursday evening, December 21 at the Currahee Campus of North Georgia Technical College.

If you would like to volunteer or make a donation via their Angel Tree program, you can contact Linda Gunter at 706-599-7525.
