Victims in Sunday Wreck on 17 Bypass Identified

The Georgia State Patrol continues its investigation into a fatal wreck in Stephens County over the weekend.

It happened about noon Sunday on the 17 Bypass at Cawthon Road.

According to the Toccoa Post of the Georgia State Patrol, the initial indication is that a pick-up truck was traveling east on Cawthon Road while a second pick-up was traveling south on the by-pass in the right lane.

Troopers investigating the accident say the truck from Cawthon Road pulled out in front of the pick up on the Bypass – t-boning it on the driver side.

The driver of the Cawthon Road truck and his passenger were killed instantly.

They are identified as 74-year old William C. Partin and 76-year old Dorothy C. Partin both of Toccoa.

Meanwhile, the driver of the truck that was hit and two of his passengers were also injured.

They are identified as 25-year-old Eddie M. Addison, 24-year-old Hunter G. Addison, and a 1-year-old, all from Toccoa.

All three were taken to Athens Regional Medical Center.

Their conditions are not known.
