UPDATE: Madison County Shooting Becomes Murder Suicide Investigation

We have an update on a shooting in Madison County last weekend that involved three people.

Authorities say the shooting is now a Murder-Suicide incident. It happened last Thursday night at the Bread Basket in Colbert.

According to a report on CBS46, deputies responded to reports of two people at the store who had been shot.

When they arrived they found a 47-year-old woman, identified as Breanna Swafford and her 21-year-old son Hunter inside her vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

Swafford told officers they had been shot at her home on Fennell Lane about two miles from the store by her ex-boyfriend, identified as 54-year-old Paul Sean Hollar of Athens.

His body was later found in a vehicle parked on Linda Street.

Madison County Sheriff’s investigators say Hollar died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Swafford and her son were taken to Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center where Hunter Swafford later died.

Deanna Hunter was moved to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and continues to recover.

On the morning of the shooting, she told investigators that she met with a police officer to file a report about phone calls and text messages from Holler that made her concerned about her safety.

According to a report on Classic City News, Swafford reportedly had ended her relationship with Holler a few months ago but he continued to harass her.
