By Jessica Waters

Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter Executive Director Jeff Roberts has announced the shelter will hold a rabies clinic this Saturday from 9a to 11a at the shelter on Scenic Drive in Toccoa.

The Clinic will offer 1-year rabies shots for $15; DAPPV shots for $10, Bordetella shots for $10; and HCPCH  shots (cat) for $10. Microchipping will also be offered at the clinic for $20.

This week we told you about a stray cat in Hart County that was confirmed to have rabies and had scratched several people.

All dogs and cats should be vaccinated against rabies yearly or every three years.

Having your pet vaccinated against rabies is also a legal requirement in Georgia.

Again, a rabies clinic is being held this Saturday at the Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter on Scenic Drive in Toccoa from 9a to 11a.

You do not have to be a resident of Toccoa-Stephens County to get your pet vaccinated.
