Terri Partain Named New Hart County Economic Development Director

The Hart County Board of Commissioners has accepted a recommendation for the Economic Development Director.

At their meeting Tuesday evening, the Board heard from Hart County IBA president Bill Leard.

Later in the meeting Board Chair Marshal Sayer called for a vote and without comment, the Board voted unanimously to hire Partain.

Partain, who is the daughter of County Administrator Terrell Partain, was one of three finalists announced two weeks ago by the Board of Commissioners.

Partain is an experienced Realtor/Associate Broker serving Northeast GA and Upstate SC.

Additionally, she has experience as an Outreach Coordinator in healthcare services.

She also has experience in Client Relations, Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Contract Negotiation, Strategic Planning & Event Planning.

The two other candidates include Brad Day who, according to his resume, has over 25 years of state and local government leadership experience.

According to his resume, his formal education and experience include Public Finance and Budgeting expertise, deal structuring, and long-term local government financial planning.

His management experience includes public, private, and non-profit environments.

Day has run his own company for seven years helping governments, non-profits, and private clientele.

The third finalist was Matt Denton whose experience covers finance and operations leadership, with extensive, broad, and specific financial and operational experience working with both large and small companies.

He currently serves on the Board of the Hart County Property Owners Association and is Vice-Chair of the Hart County Republican Party.

Partain will replace Dwayne Dye who is retiring at the end of the year.
