Space Still Available for Lavonia Jeep Fest

The Lavonia Chamber of Commerce is now gearing up for its second annual Jeep Fest.

This year’s Jeep Fest will take place in downtown Lavonia on Saturday, June 8th from 9a to 4p and Jeep fans from across our area are encouraged to come together in downtown Lavonia and celebrate the love of Jeeps and Pets.

As of last Friday, there were 30 spots still available for Jeep owners to sign up.

Lavonia Chamber Director Genie Moore said last year’s first Jeep Fest was a bigger success than they ever expected.

Moore tells WLHR News this year they have 52 spots for Jeep entries but all Jeeps must be registered before Jeep Fest and their fee paid.

Registration is $30 per Jeep and includes one free duck, the Jeep Parade entry, and a chance to win $100 cash for the best best-dressed Jeep and $50 for the best decorated.

Registration for both Jeep entries is on a first-come, first-served basis, but there is unlimited registration for the Pet Contest.

Registration is $10 plus a donation to the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter’s Wish List.

That Wish List is on the Lavonia Chamber Facebook Page and the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter Facebook page.

Extra ducks are also available for only $1 each and are also available to the public for chances to win great prizes.

Ed Murdock Superstore will have new Jeeps on display and will also be sponsoring an All-Jeep Parade through Lavonia which begins at 10a.

Moore said you don’t have to be a Jeep owner or a pet owner to attend Jeep Fest.
