Royston to Widen and Pave Skelton St.

Some road improvements are about to take place in the city of Royston.

Royston is planning to widen and resurface Skelton St. to the Wellness Park.

In Tuesday night’s Royston city council meeting, City Manager Ed Andrews told the council that the contractor had submitted an affordable bid.

“We had first had a short block of that to be widened and paved, but the contractor has come back with a very favorable quote,” Andrews said. “It’s going all the through to the maintenance entrance to the park. We’re also going to widen that road up through there.”

Total cost of the project is $21,022.

After hearing from Andrews, the City Council approved the low bid.
