Royston Gearing Up for Freedom Music Festival in July

The Royston DDA is gearing up for next month’s first-ever Freedom Music Fest at the amphitheater on July 6 in the Royston Wellness and Community Park.

DDA Director Michael Crump said the festival takes place from 2p to 10p and is designed to be a day of entertainment, food, and fun for the whole family.

Some of the food vendors he said will include Kona Ice, Top Dog Grillers, MoonShadow Concessions, as well as a Mexican food vendor, a BBQ vendor, a kettle corn vendor, and a boiled peanut vendor.

Some of the performers for Freedom Fest will include T. Graham Brown, David Wills, Leon Everette, Sammy Saddler, the Joel Olds Band, Hokey Sloan, and Kori Marie Escoe.

Right now, Crump said they’re still working on the schedule of the performances for each artist and he said that will be announced as the Freedom Music Fest gets closer.

And because the music fest takes place over the July 4th weekend, they are working on something to honor veterans.

Admission and parking are free for the Freedom Music Fest.

Crump said they still have space for more arts and crafts or food vendors interested in participating. To get more information, call Crump at the Royston DDa office at 6-245-7577 or 706-680-5563.
