Royston Freedom Music Fest Takes Place Saturday at Community Park

The City of Royston is celebrating the 4th of July Saturday with its first-ever Freedom Music Fest at the amphitheater in the Royston Wellness and Community Park according to DDA Director Michael Crump.

Crump said the festival takes place from 2p to 10p and is designed to be a day of entertainment, food, and fun for the whole family.

Some of the food vendors include Kona Ice, Top Dog Grillers, MoonShadow Concessions, a Mexican food vendor, and a BBQ vendor as well as a kettle corn vendor and a boiled peanut vendor.

At 2p. the event will open with remarks from City officials.

The show begins at 2:30p a performance by Royston native Kori Marie Escoe.

At 3p, Waylon Jennings tribute artist Hokey Sloan will perform followed by
the Country River Band at 3:30p.

Sammy Sadler, who was to perform at 3:30p had to cancel due to illness in his family.

The Joe Olds Band will take the stage at 4p.

At 5p there will be a special ceremony honoring military heroes.

Then at 5:15p, country singer-turned-gospel artist Leon Everette will
be on stage.

Headlining the show Saturday evening will be County Music star and Madison County native T. Graham Brown who takes the stage at 8p.

Again, Royston’s Freedom Music Fest takes place Saturday beginning at 2p at the amphitheater in the Royston Community and Wellness Park.

The event and parking are free.
