Reward Offered in Banks County Arson Fire

Investigators with the Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner’s office are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for setting a fire in Banks County.

It happened on Saturday, September 28, in Banks County at a home on Yonah Homer Road in Alto.

Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King said a fire was started on a deck that surrounded a fire pit in the back of the house.

The deck suffered major damages from the fire.

King is asking anyone with information about this fire to call the Arson Hotline at
1‐800‐282‐5804.

Calls are taken 24 hours a day and callers can choose to remain anonymous.

Banks County Fire and Emergency Services is assisting with this investigation.
