Registration Still Available for Lavonia’s Jeep Fest

Vendors and Jeep fans – there is still time to register to take part in the Lavonia Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Jeep Fest event.

As we’ve been telling you, this year’s Jeep Fest will take place in downtown Lavonia on Saturday, June 8th from 9a to 4p and Jeep fans from across our area are encouraged to come together in downtown Lavonia and celebrate the love of Jeeps and Pets.

Lavonia Chamber Director Genie Moore said last year’s first Jeep Fest was a bigger success than they ever expected.

Moore tells WLHR News this year they have 52 spots for Jeep entries but all Jeeps must be registered before Jeep Fest and their fee paid.

Registration is $30 per Jeep and includes one free duck, the Jeep Parade entry, and a chance to win $100 cash for best dressed Jeep and $50 for best decorated.

Additionally, she said there are still openings for vendors.

However, this year vendors must also register and pay their registration fee in advance because of the overwhelming last-minute response from vendors last year which created space issues.

If you are a merchandising vendor and want to participate in the event, Jeep Fest has 38 vendor spots available.

The fee is $50 per spot and payment must be made before the event for your spot to be reserved.

And when you register specify if you need electricity as some spots will not have it available.

Registration for both Jeep entries and vendors, Moore said, is on a first-come, first-served basis, but there is unlimited registration for the Pet Contest.

Registration is $10 plus a donation to the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter’s Wish List.

That Wish List is on the Lavonia Chamber Facebook Page and the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter Facebook page.

Extra ducks are also available for only $1 each and are also available to the public for chances to win great prizes.

Ed Murdock Superstore will have new Jeeps on display and will also be sponsoring an All-Jeep Parade through Lavonia which begins at 10a.
