Outsiders Farm Asking for Your Halloween Pumpkins

If you’re wondering what to do with your Halloween pumpkins Outsiders Farm & Sanctuary in Hart County will take them.

Corrine Baker and her husband run Outsiders Farm and Sanctuary pig rescue from their farm off Highway 77 and this is the farm’s second annual annual pumpkin drive for the pigs.

Corrine Baker said pumpkins are a favorite treat for pigs and they will take your pumpkins off your hands for their pig rescue program.

Pot-bellied piglets are often purchased as pets but when their owners realize they get just as big as any other pig, they are often abandoned.

More than 90% of pet pigs are given away before they even turn a year old.

Happily, many find their way to Outsiders Farm and Sanctuary where they can live out their lives.

Outsiders Farm has two convenient drop off locations, at their farm on Buck Hollow Road in Bowersville and Royston Animal Hospital.

And depending on your location or the volume of pumpkins, they might even be able to arrange a pick up.

Additionally, they are also collecting blankets for their winter bedding.
