OCI Reinstates Choice Home Warranty

Earlier we reported that Choice Home Warranty had been ordered to stop doing business in Georgia because they failed to comply with state regulatory statutes.

However, that decision has been reversed by the Georgia Office of the Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire.

Last week, the OCI announced they reversed that decision after a thorough review of the compliance and regulatory adherence demonstrated by Choice Home Warranty.

According to Commissioner John King, Choice Home Warranty has maintained a surety bond on file with OCI.

Choice Home Warranty corrected its contracts to reflect that its current bond was issued by Lexington National Insurance Corporation rather than Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America.

OCI is committed to enforcing the standards and regulations set forth by the Georgia Insurance Code and ensures that Choice Home Warranty operates with the highest degree of integrity and reliability.

The OCI concluded that Choice Home Warranty fully complied with all regulatory requirements, leading to the rescission of the cease-and-desist order.

King said his office acknowledges the efforts made by Choice Home Warranty to maintain compliance and transparency in its operations, and we are committed to supporting their continued adherence to all regulatory standards.
