North Georgia Tech Honors Employees for Their Service at Special Luncheon

Erica Pickens was recently honored for 35 years of service at NGTC

 

Erica Pickens of Lavonia was recently recognized for an outstanding 35 years of service as an employee of North Georgia Technical College.

Pickens was presented the award by College President John Wilkinson recently at the College’s Annual Service Awards Holiday Luncheon,

Additionally, Audio/visual Information Technology Specialist Brandon Provitera was named the school’s 2024 Employee of the Year.

Brandon Provitera was named NGTC 2024 Employee of the Year

North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) recently named Brandon Provitera the 2024 Employee of the Year at the college’s annual service awards holiday luncheon.

Provitera, who is from Toccoa, has been employed by the college since Oct. 2014 and previously served as a technical support specialist, a library assistant, and a library work-study. He graduated from NGTC in 2016 with his networking specialist associate degree.

Provitera was nominated by fellow staff members and was complimented on his friendliness, knowledge, and willingness to go above and beyond for the college.

“It means a lot to me to be recognized as Employee of the Year,” said Provitera. “I really appreciate everyone at the college and in my department fostering such a great work environment. Without them and their encouragement, I would not have risen to the heights I am today. It’s a blessing; thank you once again.”

NGTC President John Wilkinson also presented the 2024 Employee Service Awards, recognizing those who have given distinguished years of service to NGTC and the Technical College System of Georgia.

Five-year service employees included Letty Adams of Clarkesville, Ga.; Darin Boozer of Clarkesville, Ga.; Laurie Boozer of Clarkesville, Ga.; Derek Deibler of Blairsville, Ga.; Michelle Dockery of Cleveland, Ga.; Adam Fulbright of Hull, Ga.; Melissa Henderson of Clarkesville, Ga.; Charles Hurst of Demorest, Ga.; Bobby McCarter of Toccoa, Ga.; Braxton McCarter of Toccoa, Ga.; Brandy Sackel of Cornelia, Ga.; Shonda Satterfield of Clarkesville, Ga.; and Souvanh Touralack of Cornelia, Ga.

10-year service award recipients were Brian Fortner of Eastanollee, Ga.; Rebekah Franklin of Cornelia, Ga.; Sean McAuley of Athens, Ga.; Timothy Reynolds of Cleveland, Ga.; and Jason Turpen of Mount Airy, Ga.

Julia Braswell of Clarkesville, Ga., was recognized for 20 years of service with NGTC.

Twenty-five-year certificates were awarded to Janet Henderson of Cleveland, Ga.; Tammy Keyes of Hiawassee, Ga.; Samantha Marchant of Blairsville, Ga.; and Dorothy Mayfield of Morganton, Ga.

“I am proud to recognize these outstanding individuals and commend them for their dedication to North Georgia Technical College,” said NGTC President John Wilkinson. “It is an honor to work with them and to witness the consistent efforts they put forth for our students and our community each and every day.”
