North Georgia Credit Union Warning Customers of Scammers

North Georgia Credit Union is warning its customers that people are posing as employees.

According to North Georgia Credit Union Vice President Laura Williams, the individuals are
spoofing the credit union’s phone number and contacting members via phone calls, texts, and emails, asking for personal information to complete fraudulent transactions.

Williams said never share any personal information over the phone, via text, or email.

She added that North Georgia Credit Union will never ask for your personal information, passwords, or online banking details in an unsolicited call, text, or email.

And if you receive a suspicious call, text, or email, do not respond, instead contact North Georgia Credit Union at any of their branches.

Also, if you have elderly family and friends you know are customers of North Georgia Credit Union please make them aware of this scam so that they do not provide any personal information to scammers.
