No Early Voting Today for November 7 Elections

A reminder that there is no early/advance voting today.

Early voting ended on Friday.

If you missed your chance to vote ahead of tomorrow’s General Election you will have to wait until tomorrow to cast your ballot.

Voting will take place from 7a to 7p on Tuesday in Royston, Lavonia, Franklin Springs, Carnesville, and Canon.

All five municipalities have contested races for City Council seats and Royston, Lavonia, and Carnesville voters must also decide on whether to allow Sunday alcohol sales.

In Lavonia, Incumbent City Councilman Eddie Floyd is being challenged by former councilman Harold Harbin.

Lavonia voters are also being asked to decide whether to allow the sale of beer, wine, and alcohol on Sundays from noon to 11 p.m.

Voters in Lavonia will go to the Lavonia Community Center Tuesday to cast their ballots.

In Royston, Incumbent City Councilman Jason Phillips is being challenged by Wesley Fricks.
Councilman Lee Strickland is running against Fletcher Hodges, and incumbent Wayne Braswell is running against challenger Tony McCollum.

Royston voters will also be deciding whether to allow the sale of alcohol inside the city limits.

Voters in Royston will go to Royston City Hall.

In Franklin Springs, Councilmen Bill Bell and Tommy Pritchett are running for re-election and Pamela Mayfield is running for a seat on the council.

Voters there will go to Franklin Springs City Hall.

In Canon, Incumbents Bill Brown and Bobby Locke are running for re-election and Ricky Minish is running for City Council.

Voters will cast their ballots at Canon Baptist Church.

In Carnesville, Incumbent Patsy Watkins is running for re-election.

Vince Esposito, Sherry Cheek, and Gabbie McFarlin are also running for City Council.

Missy Holbrook is running unopposed for Carnesville Mayor.

She will replace Mayor Harris Little who is retiring at the end of the year.

And Carnesville voters are also being asked whether to allow the sale of beer, wine, and distilled spirits on Sundays from 12:30p to 11:30p.

Carnesville voters will cast their ballots at the Carnesville Fire Department.
