NGTC Currahee Practical Nursing Students Receive Pins

North Georgia Technical College’s Practical Nursing students from the Currahee campus recently received their pins in a private graduation ceremony at the college. Pinning ceremonies are a traditional nursing practice that honors students prior to beginning their careers in healthcare.

“North Georgia Technical College’s Currahee campus recently celebrated a successful pinning ceremony for their Practical Nursing students, who have passed the challenging ATI Predictor exam,” said NGTC Vice President of Academic Affairs Stephanie Benson. “The strong pass rate underscores the student’s mastery of content and emphasizes the dedicated faculty’s commitment to excellence. I am confident that our graduates will have a significant positive impact on our community’s health and well-being.”

“It was a pleasure to honor our outstanding Practical Nursing graduates and congratulate them on achieving an incredible milestone in their lives,” said NGTC Dean of Academic Affairs Christy Bivins. “Nurses are the heart of our healthcare system, and these NGTC graduates will be the professionals our community counts on in our times of need. With their commitment to educational excellence and achievement, we know our healthcare facilities will continue to provide quality care for many years.”

“It was an honor to recognize the hard work and dedication of our 2024 Practical Nursing graduates during the pinning ceremony,” said NGTC Practical Nursing Program Director and Instructor Kim Randall. “The Practical Nursing students are prepared and ready to sit for the PN NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination). The students have demonstrated excellent progress and teamwork during the program year. It is always enjoyable to witness their family and friends celebrating their accomplishments. These students will have great success in their future nursing careers.”
