More Events Planned This Summer in Downtown Lavonia

You may or may not have noticed but the Lavonia Downtown Development Authority and Main Street have ramped up things for people to do this summer in the downtown area.

In addition to the Music on Main summer concerts downtown, they’ve added summer sidewalk sales by local businesses that same evening.

Main Street Director Ashley Rose Dodd says it’s just another fun attraction for people coming downtown to hear the music.

The next Summer Sidewalk Sale takes place in conjunction the August 16th Music on Main Concert.

Featured music will be ‘60’s rock by the Second Time Around Band and it precedes this year’s third annual Hippie Fest which is coming back on August 17.

Dodd said there will be lots of vendors with hippie-era type merchandise for sale.

Both the Music on Main concerts, Summer Sidewalk Sales, and the Hippie Fest are all free admission.

Just bring your folding chairs for the concerts and enjoy a fun summer evening of music, shopping, and food.
