Memorial Day Services Taking Place Today
Memorial Day services taking place today in Franklin, Hart Counties:
In Hart County, the American Legion Post 109 will have a Memorial Day service on Monday, May 27th at 11 a.m. in the Veterans Memorial Park at the Hartwell Courthouse Square. Everyone is invited to this service to show remembrance for our fallen heroes.
In Franklin County, a Memorial Day Service will be held Monday/this morning on the grounds of the Franklin County Veterans Plaza on the courthouse grounds in Carnesville.
The service takes place at 9a.
The annual event includes the reading of the names of local heroes who have died in our country’s wars and public safety workers who have died in the line of duty.
The National Anthem and Taps will also be performed. The event is organized each year by Dusty Morgan.
