Madison County Woman Sentenced to 10 Years in Child Molestation Case

Northern Judicial Circuit DA Parks White is praising the work of the Madison County Sheriff’s office for putting the wife of a convicted child molester behind bars.

According to a report in the Athens Banner-Herald, a former resident of Madison County was ordered last Tuesday to spend 10 years in prison after she pleaded guilty in Madison County Superior Court to charges that she allowed her husband to sexually abuse a child for more than a decade.

The molestation committed by her husband, Michael Paul Estes, 45, occurred from February 2005 through February 2018, according to the indictment.

Estes pleaded guilty to aggravated child molestation charges in 2019 and was ordered to spend 25 years in prison without the possibility of parole.

His wife, Amanda Rossi Estes, 44, entered guilty pleas to child molestation and cruelty to children, according to Northern District Attorney Parks White.

White commended the work of the Madison County Sheriff’s office and investigator Scott Rice for securing the arrest and conviction of Amanda Estes.
