Madison Co Man Dead, Two Wounded in Shooting
In Madison County, authorities are investigating after a man was found dead and two others were injured outside of a food store.
It happened last Thursday night at the Bread Basket in Colbert.
According to a report on CBS46, deputies responded to reports of two people at the store who had been shot.
When they arrived they found a 47-year-old woman and 21-year-old son with gunshot wounds.
The woman told officers they had been shot at a residence on Fennell Lane about two miles from the store.
She said the shooter was her 54-year-old boyfriend. His body was later found in a vehicle parked on Linda Street. Investigators determined he had died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The woman and her son reportedly sustained life-threatening injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment.
The names of the suspect and the two victims have not been released.
