Love Him Love Them Hosting Volunteer Extravaganza Saturday

If you’re looking for a place to plug in and make a difference in the lives of those in need both locally and internationally, a Royston ministry is offering you an opportunity this weekend to learn about some of the many volunteer opportunities they have available.

Love Him Love Them is holding a volunteer extravaganza on Saturday from 10a to 2p at their offices in the Ty Cobb Museum building in Royston.

Ministry founder Linda Gunter says there will be representatives there to explain the different areas where volunteers are desperately needed.

Gunter said this is not a drop-in event.

Representatives for each of the areas available for volunteers will be speaking and explaining that part of the ministry and how you can get involved.

Events in need of volunteers include the annual Valentine’s Day dinner for special needs adults, ongoing shoe collection to send to women and children in Haiti, the annual holiday Night of Hope Christmas event for children of parents who are incarcerated, and their annual Thanksgiving Day meal and food giveaway which is expected to feed about 5,000 homebound and homeless in both Georgia and Anderson, SC this year.

Gunter said Bar-H BBQ will be providing lunch.

Again, the LHLT volunteer extravaganza event takes place this Saturday from 10a to 2p at their offices in the Ty Cobb Museum building in Royston.
