Lavonia Elementary School Principal Brad Roberts to Retire

Lavonia Elementary School Principal Brad Roberts is retiring.

At their meeting Tuesday evening, the Board of Education voted to approve Brad Roberts’ retirement and approved current Middle School Assistant Principal Kasey Haley as the new LES principal.

Roberts has been the principal at Lavonia Elementary since 2019.

However, served there previously as Assistant Principal from 2002 to 2005 and then as Principal until he moved to Franklin County High School in 2013.

He also served as the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning for from 2018 to 2019 and then returned to Lavonia Elementary.

Also leaving as principal of Franklin County High School is Roger Wilkinson who is leaving to take the principal position at Chattooga County High School, which is closer to his hometown of Gadsden, Alabama.

So far, a new high school principal has not been announced.
