Lavonia Carnegie Library Color Crawl Set for Saturday

The Friends of the Lavonia-Carnegie Library are hosting their 2nd Annual Carnegie Color Crawl on Saturday, beginning at noon.

April is CDH Awareness Month, and CDH stands for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia.

Branch Manager of the Franklin Co. Libraries Maggie West says half of the money raised will go to CDH research.

West said everyone is welcome to participate in the run which goes from the Library to the VFW and back.

Last year the first annual Color Run raised $1,800.

The library’s share of the money went to fund the summer reading program and buy new books for the library.

The deadline to register to run has passed but supporters may still donate Saturday as well as come out to cheer participants on.

Again, the Color Crawl takes place Saturday at noon at the Lavonia Carnegie Library.
