Hart County Prepares for Tree Lighting Next Week

Mark your calendars for a heartwarming evening of holiday magic as Hartwell welcomes the most anticipated event of the season – the Annual Hartwell Christmas Tree Lighting.

Set to take place on Monday, November 20, the celebration officially marks the beginning of the Christmas season, transforming the streets into a wonderland of festive joy as Santa makes his grand appearance.

Hart County Commissioners and City officials will gather with citizens on the Courthouse Square in downtown Hartwell at 5p to light the Christmas tree.

In addition to tree lighting, there will also be a toy drive to benefit the non-profit group Connections for Special Parents.

People are asked to donate new unwrapped, puzzles, games and books for special needs children for Christmas.

The toy drive is going on now through November 22 and toys may be dropped off at the Hart County Chamber office on S. Carolina St. In Hartwell.

Additionally, the Hart County Chamber is looking for vendors to line Forest Avenue with activities or gifts for kids the night of the tree lighting.

If you would like to participate in the gifts for kids or if you have questions or need more information you can call the Chamber office to register at 706-376-8590.
