Hart Co Humane Society to Hold Annual Pontoon Poker Run Saturday

If you’re looking for things to do on the lake this weekend, the Hart County Humane Society is holding its annual Pontoon Poker Run on Saturday.

The annual fundraiser raises money to fund its many projects helping homeless animals.

The event takes place from 10a to 3p and will start and finish at Harbor Light Marina.

Tickets are $25/person in advance and $35/person Saturday and only the people on the boat that are participating have to register, and any type of watercraft is welcome.

Additionally, only registered participants will be eligible to compete for prizes.

When you arrive you will be given a packet and a participant wristband. The packet will also have a lake map and clues about the 5 dock locations you will be trying to find.

Participants will use those clues to find the checkpoints where dock owners will have fun things for them to do.

Participating boat owners are encouraged to decorate their boats and lakeside property owners participating in the checkpoints are also encouraged to decorate their docks.

After you have located all 5 docks return back to Harbor Light Marina to exchange the 5 checkpoint cards for real playing cards, trying to make the best poker hand.

No worries, if you do not find all 5 docks before 3pm.

You can purchase extra chances to improve your poker hand at the marina.

Prizes will be awarded to the top two winners. There will also be a prize for the best-decorated boat and several other raffles.

All proceeds go to benefit the animals at the Hart County Humane Society.
