Hart BOC to Review Service Delivery Strategy Tonight

After their regular meeting this evening, the Hart County Commission will meet for a called session to discuss their service delivery strategy.

At their last meeting in May, County Commissioner Joey Dorsey said the strategy needed updating. Caime said in 2005  the County worked to hammer out a service delivery strategy, which by law must be updated every ten years.

“In Georgia, many counties and municipalities had duplication of services,” Caime said. “So the State Legislature instituted a new law that requires every ten years we take a fresh look at this and make sure we’re not repeating services and wasting tax payer dollars.”

Caime said the City of Hartwell and the City of Royston, are now reviewing the list of some 40 services .

Tonight’s meeting follows the regular meeting at the Hart County Commission offices in Hartwell and is open to the public.
