Georgia Mountains Farm Tour Set for June 28-29th

The Georgia Mountains Farm Tour is just over a month away on June 28 & 29^th and there’s still time to sign up to tour local farms in our area.

 

Some 16 organic farms in Northeast Georgia are on the tour including two in Stephens County and one in Franklin County.

 

They include Taylor Creek Farm on Sunshine Road in Toccoa, Shade Creek Farm on Buena Vista Drive in Eastanollee and Jan and Zen’s Garden on Grady School Road in Canon.

 

 

Sponsored by the Georgia Mountains Farm Network, the tour covers four Northeast Georgia counties over a two-day period.

 

Visitors to the farms will learn about organic farming and eat locally grown products prepared by local chefs.

 

You will also be able to load your cooler with farm fresh organically grown produce as well as home made breads and dairy products.
