GBI Seeks Public’s Help in Locating Franklin County Rape Suspect

Anthony Elijah Jones is wanted in connection with a rape at Emmanuel College

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public’s help to find a man wanted for rape in Franklin County.

On Wednesday, the GBI issued a plea for help locating 19-year old Anthony Elijah Jones, address unknown.

According to the GBI, it happened on the campus of Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs on September 5th.

Franklin Springs Police, the GBI, and the Franklin County Sheriff’s office have issued arrest warrants for Jones on charges of rape and false imprisonment.

Jones has also been indicted by a Franklin County Grand Jury on the charges.

Authorities believe Jones may be in the metro Atlanta or Gainesville area.

He is known to frequent the Kennesaw area of Cobb County, and the Lake Lanier area of Forsyth County.
