Gary Minyard Running for Re-Election for Fr. Co. BOE Post 1

As we’ve been telling you this Saturday candidates for Franklin County offices will be part of a Republican Party-sponsored Political Forum at the high school.

Long-time Franklin County educator, Gary Minyard announces his bid for re-
election to the Franklin County Board of Education.

Minyard has more than 40 years of experience in public education, both at
Franklin County High School, Franklin County Middle School, and Emmanuel University.

Minyard taught Agricultural Education at both high school and middle school and
taught Horticultural Science at Emmanuel University.

“I believe my experience serving on the Board of Education for the past three years
gives me the experience to effectively serve the students of Franklin County,” he said.

Minyard currently serves as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent at
Zidon Baptist, member of the Gideon International, member of the Franklin
County Cattlemen Association, member of the Franklin County Young Farmers –
serving as Chaplin, and a member of the Hart EMC Roundup Board.

He and his wife Libby run a registered cattle operation and Sandy Cross Farms
Greenhouses.

Minyard and his wife are both retired, he is from the Franklin County School
System, and she worked as a Dental assistant.

“I have spent my entire adult life in public education and can think of no better way
to give back to the system that has provided for my family for the past 40 years.”
