Gale Smelas

Ms. Gale (Lovingood) Smelas, age 60, of Lavonia, passed away from complications of cancer Monday, June 11, 2018 at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain surrounded by her family.   A celebration of Gale’s life will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia with Dr. Larry Finger officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Gale Smelas to the Wellstar Foundation / Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain, 805 Sandy Plains Road, Suite 100, Marietta, GA 30066.
