Franklin Springs Hires New Full-time Police Officer

Franklin Springs has a new full-time police officer.

At their called meeting Monday, Mayor Lee Moore announced the hiring of officer Tyler O’Brian.

O’Brian comes to Franklin Springs after serving in Hart County as a Sheriff’s deputy and in Hartwell as a Police Officer.

Mayor Lee Moore welcomed officer O’Brian to Franklin Springs and said Monday they hope to hire one more full-time officer.

The Franklin Springs Police Department now consists of two full-time officers including the Police Chief.

Moore said the City also plans to hire two more part-time police officers at some point inthe future.
