Franklin Co Sheriff Candidate to Hold Meet and Greet

Scott Andrews, candidate for Franklin County Sheriff will be holding a Meet and Greet later this month for voters.

The reception takes place Saturday, January 20 from 3p to 6p at the Carnesville Community Center.

He is one of three candidates who have come forward to announce their intention to run for Franklin County Sheriff in 2024.

Qualifying for the Sheriff’s race takes place in March and the election is on May 21 during the General Primary/Nonpartisan Election.

Andrews announced his candidacy in late October.

Speaking on Lake Hartwell Radio’s Community Forum in November, Andrews said even though he retired from a 36-year career in law enforcement with the Georgia State Patrol, he still has a lot to offer the Citizens of Franklin County as their Sheriff.

He said one particular area of focus if elected, he said is the safety of the County’s children.

Andrews said he would also work to clean up the County’s drug problem especially concentrating on those areas where drug dealing and the resulting crime is most prevalent.

Again, the Meet and Greet with Scott Andrews takes place Saturday, January 20 from 3p to 6p at the Carnesville Community Center.

WLHR News will be interviewing and keeping up with all of the candidates running for Sheriff of Franklin County.

We have reached out to the two other candidates who have announced their intention to run, Mitch Murphy and Brian Stovall, and hope to have both as guests on our Community Forum program in the coming weeks.
