Franklin BOE Approves Personnel Changes at Several Schools for 2024-25

Some changes in leadership happening at the Franklin County School system.

At a called meeting Tuesday evening, the Board of Education approved some reshuffling of principals.

According to School Superintendent Melanie Burton Brown, beginning with the 2024 – 25 school year, Royston Elementary School’s principal will be Jamie Hammock and the Assistant Principal will be Natalie Erskine.

They will transition to the new South Franklin Elementary when it’s completed and ready to open.

Franklin County High School’s new Assistant Principal next year will Quowanna Mattox who is currently the Principal at Royston Elementary.

And Lavonia Elementary School’s new Assistant Principal will be Le Anna Cuevas.

“Change is never easy but it is necessary to ensure the continued success of the school system’s students, staff, and the District as a whole,” said Burton- Brown. “The administrative changes will help strengthen the Franklin County School District and build leadership capacity within the administrative teams for the future.”
