Franklin BOC to Hold First Public Hearing This Week on FY2025 Budget

A reminder that the Franklin County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the proposed FY2025 Budget this week.

Per Georgia law, the County must hold two public hearings on the proposed budget before voting on it.

The first one is this Thursday, May 30 at 10a at the Franklin County Justice Center in Carnesville.

In FY25, the County is anticipating revenues in FY25 of $32,296,730 and expenses of $31,086,430.

Franklin County’s fiscal year begins July 1, 2024, and runs through June 30, 2025.

A second public hearing will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 5:00 P.M.

At both sessions, the Chairman and Commissioners will accept both written and oral comments regarding the annual operating and capital budget for Franklin County, Georgia.

The Chairman and Commissioners of Franklin County will consider adopting the proposed FY 2025 Budget during a Special Called Budget Meeting on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 5:30 P.M.

This meeting will take place immediately after the second public hearing at the Franklin County Justice Center at the Justice Center in Carnesville.

The next fiscal budget is now available to view online at https://www.franklincountyga.gov/

Additionally, a hard copy is also available to view at the Franklin County Board of Commissioners Office in downtown Carnesville.
