Franklin BOC Sets Dates for Two FY25 Budget Public Hearings

The Franklin County Board of Commissioners has announced two opportunities for the public to voice their opinions regarding the FY2025 budget.

Per Georgia law, the County must hold two public hearings on the proposed budget before voting on it. In FY25, the County is anticipating revenues in FY25 of $$26,346,630
and expenses of $26,298,925.

Franklin County’s fiscal year begins July 1, 2024, and runs through June 30, 2025.

The hearings are scheduled for Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 10:00 A.M., and Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 5:00 P.M.

Both hearings will take place at the Franklin County Justice Center, located at 7085 Highway 145, Carnesville, GA.

At both sessions, the Chairman and Commissioners will accept both written and oral comments regarding the annual operating and capital budget for Franklin County, Georgia.

The Chairman and Commissioners of Franklin County will consider adopting the proposed FY 2025 Budget during a Special Called Budget Meeting on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 5:30 P.M.

This meeting will take place immediately after the second public hearing at the Franklin County Justice Center at the Justice Center in Carnesville.

The next fiscal budget is now available to view online beginning today at https://www.franklincountyga.gov/

Additionally, a hard copy is also available to view at the Franklin County Board of Commissioners Office in downtown Carnesville.
