FATAL WRECK IN ELBERT COUNTY CLAIMS TWO LIVES

According to GSP Post 52 Trooper Sgt. Ray Dean, it happened just after 5:30p Monday evening on GA 52 near Jones Ferry Road.

“A black 1999 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound on GA 72. A gray 2012 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on GA 72. The Silverado failed to maintain its proper lane and traveled across the centerline. He said the 33-year-old adult driver, identified as 33-year-old Breanna Danae Parham of Elberton, and a 16-year-old front-seat passenger of the Silverado were pronounced deceased at the crash scene.

“The 6-year-old rear middle passenger and a 2-week-old rear right passenger of the Silverado were life-flighted to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries,” Dean added. “The 4-year-old rear left passenger of the Silverado and the 34-year-old driver and the 1-year-old rear middle passenger of the F-150 were transported to Elbert Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The names of the juveniles who died and were injured are not being released.
