Early Voting Numbers Break Records Across the State

Statewide, Georgia voters exceeded expectations on Friday, shattering the 2.5M mark for ballots cast prior to Election Day.

Turnout early voting numbers statewide through 5p Friday 2,504,956, which includes Early in-person voting and Absentee paper ballots returned.

According to the Secretary of State’s office, as of Saturday morning, Georgia’s record-breaking early turnout concluded with 2,288,889 voters casting their ballot during Early Voting.

Over 231-thousand voters cast early ballots statewide on Friday alone.

That’s 6% higher than the final day of Early Voting in the 2020 Presidential election.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Saturday that County election directors deserve praise for handling the early voting demand with the utmost professionalism, and navigating a whole host of challenges, which he added were executed seamlessly.

As of Friday, over 75% of Absentee ballots have been returned to county election offices. Voters have until 7 pm on Election Day to return them. Voters should check the My Voter Page or their county website for information on in-person return options.
