Dr. Devin Stephens joining rotation at Sacred Heart Primary Care

Board-certified family care physician Dr. Devin Stephens is now seeing patients one Thursday a month in the offices of Sacred Heart Primary Care (SHPC), located in the medical office building at St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Appointment times are available from 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., except from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. when the office is closed for lunch.

His home office is St. Mary’s Family Medicine in Athens, a sister practice within St. Mary’s Medical Group.

As a family medicine physician, Dr. Stephens will be seeing patients of all ages.

His background includes many years of active practice and patient care.

earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, completed his
residency at Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast in Concord, N.C., and is certified
by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Stephens joins nurse practitioners Cassie Dawkins and Amy Evans.

He also functions as their clinical supervisor when he is not in the office.

According to St. Mary’s Healthcare spokesman Mark Ralston, they are working on adding more physician services at Sacred Heart.

Currently, Gastroenterologist Dr. Jeff Williams provides consults and procedures at Sacred Heart and recently cardiologist Dr. Laura Diamandopoulos began doing monthly rotations at Oconee Heart & Vascular Center’s Sacred Heart office.
