Step of Faith Outreach is sponsoring a Community Fair beginning this evening in Lavonia.

The fair will run through Saturday and will showcase rides and attractions by Midway Unlimited.

Additionally, there will be a variety of food vendors, and music by a DJ.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free for children aged 5 and under.

The fair will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, and 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Step of Faith Outreach is a Biblically based community outreach that sponsors a number of different programs in Lavonia and Franklin County, such as their After School Program.

The Step of Faith After School Program is supported by the Franklin County School System and other community partners.

Students are dropped off at the Boyd Outz Learning Center, where after a hot meal and a snack they are helped with their homework before being picked up by their parents.

And through partnership with the Northeast Georgia Food Bank, The Senior Food Assistance Program provides monthly food bags to seniors in the community experiencing food insecurity.

Food boxes are available to seniors aged 55+, and are distributed on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the Step of Faith Headquarters in Lavonia, Ga at no cost.

Other programs include Fire Disaster Assistance, Senior Christmas Gift Baskets, Emergency Food Assistance and even a Community Garden.

Funds raised from the carnival will go to continue those important community programs.
