Candidates Gather Saturday for Political Forum in Franklin County

Franklin County citizens will have a chance Saturday to hear firsthand from candidates running for County offices.

The Franklin County Republican Party will hold a Political Forum this Saturday from 11:30a to 2:30p at the Franklin County High School cafeteria.

20 candidates are running in six contested races in Franklin County.

Republican Party Chairwoman Angela Whidby said the public will have a chance to ask the candidates for each race questions.

Whidby said people attending will have an opportunity to write down their questions for the candidates.

There will be boxes by the door with the name of each County race written on it and the public can deposit their questions in that box.

Those boxes will then be given to the moderator who will choose questions from the boxes.

Again, questions may not be directed to a specific candidate but must be directed to everyone running in that race.

And for those who are unable to attend in person, WLHR News will be recording the entire political forum and will air the first segment this Sunday on Community Forum at 12:03p after ABC News.
