Baldwin Man Charged in 2022 Homer Robbery

In Banks County authorities have made an arrest in a December 2022 convenience store robbery.

According to Banks County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Austin Bond on Thursday, January 4 investigators arrested 38-year-old Jarrid Diontae Carter of Baldwin.

Carter is accused of robbing the Homer business on December 24, 2022, Christmas Eve.

Banks County Sheriff Carlton Speed said Banks County deputies responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the Homer Golden Pantry.

He said responding deputies discovered that the suspect had entered the convenience store by kicking through the glass of the front door and proceeded to take money from the cash register.

The suspect, Carter, then quickly fled the scene.

Speed said that due to pertinent evidence left on the scene and discovered through the investigation, Carter was successfully identified and arrested.
