ARDEO Seizes Drugs, Weapons in Habersham Drug Bust

Agents with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office have charged five suspects with multiple counts of drug dealing and possession.

ARDEO spokesman Trent Hillsman said on Monday, agents from his office along with the Department of Community Supervision, and the Habersham Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at 450 Harrison Trail Alto.

There, he said agents uncovered a quantity of marijuana, methamphetamine, a little over $3000.00 in cash, multiple firearms (one confirmed stolen), and other narcotics that were seized from the residence.

Arrested were 20-year old Edward Jack Ruiz, 56-year old Jaqueline Hernandez, 37-year old Leonel Hernandez Guerrero, and 23-year old Jose Peter Arguelles

All were charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent and possession of marijuana with intent.

Also arrested was 20-year old Josh Heard who was charged with a probatio violation.
