Remains Found in Banks County Could be Man Missing Since June

Remains found Friday in Banks County could be those of a man who’s been missing since mid-June.

Over the weekend, Banks County Sheriff Carlton Speed said the remains were discovered Friday in a wooded area near Harden Bridge Road.

The remains were identified as human and found during a search for Charles “Eddie” Ramsey, a man reported missing by his family.

The Sheriff said Ramsey was last seen walking towards his home on Harden Bridge Road in mid-June, 2024.

In an earlier press release, the Sheriff said Ramsey was known to take walks frequently and would often walk in the Banks Crossing area.

So far, there is no confirmation that the remains found are that of Ramsey.

Over the weekend, they were transported to the medical examiner’s office for official identification.

Although there is no suspicion of foul play, Sheriff Speed said the circumstances and manner of death are still under investigation.
